Edward Kleiner passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017.  He was 99.  Born in Tarnapol, Poland he survived the Holocaust in the Kamionka Work Camp in Poland and later spent a year in an underground bunker trying to evade the Nazis.  He immigrated to the U.S. with his late wife, Ingeborg.  They each had $7.00 in their pocket when they came to the U.S. after the war and settled in Brighton Beach Brooklyn. He founded a home building and construction company which developed several properties. Later the family, along with their two sons Myron and Stewart  moved to Chatham, N.J., where they lived and raised a family for 45 years.  Ingeborg passed away in 2010. He moved to Wall Township about 8 years ago. Edward was a member of the Home Builders Association of America and of N.J..  He is survived by his current wife, Iris (nee Koehler), of Wall Township, N.J., his two sons Dr. Myron (Hannah) Kleiner of Lloyd Harbor, N.Y., and Stewart Kleiner, Esq. of Long Branch, N.J. as well as four grandchildren, Ariel, Orli, Dina and Shana and a brother, Leon (Halina) Kleiner of South Orange, N.J..
