Judith Ann Caden passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 after a brief illness.  Born in Newark she lived in Tribecca, New York before moving to West Orange, N.J. and Pembroke, ME., many years ago.  She held a B.A. from Rutgers University, Newark, N.J., an M.S. from Kean University, Union, N.J. in teaching and a M.F.A.  in Printmaking and Sculpture from Pratt Institute, New York City.  She was an art teacher in Jersey City, N.J. for over 15 years and also worked as a puppeteer and artist, earning various awards including the prestigious Geraldine R. Dodge Summer Initiative Grant for art teachers, which lead her from sand casting in aluminum to casting in bronze.  Her work had been shown at several galleries.  She is survived by her devoted sister Carol Caden, a niece Elizabeth (Rob) Desbiens and a nephew David (Stephanie) Greenberg as well as many great nieces, nephews and friends.
